32 deaths, 1895 new COVID19 cases

Srinagar, June 1: In a breather, Jammu and Kashmir again witnessed a dip in Covid-19 positive cases and deaths as 1895 infection cases and 32 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

The number of recoveries in a day is almost double the number of infection cases reported on Tuesday. 3682 patients recovered from the Covid illness, while 1895 tested positive. With it the number of active positive cases has come down below 34000.

   

On Tuesday, 32 Covid-19 positive patients succumbed to their illness, with it the total number of deaths reported in J&K has reached 3939 of which 2014 deaths have been reported in Kashmir division and 1925 in Jammu division.

Out of the total 32 deaths reported in the last 24 hours in J&K, 17 deaths were reported in Jammu division and 15 from Kashmir division.

As per details shared by the health department, 06 died in GMC Jammu, 01 in SSH Jmu, 01 in GMC Rajouri, 01 in GMC Doda, 01 in CH Udhampur, 01 in CHC Mendhar, 01 in Corporate Hosp Amritsar, 03 in SMVDNH Katra, 03 in Home/ Brought Dead, 02 in SMHS Sgr, 01 in SKIMS JVC Bemina, 04 in SKIMS Soura, 01 in DH Bandipora, 01 in CD Hosp Srinagar, 01 in DH Pulwama, 01 in CHC Tangdar, 02 in GMC Baramulla and 01 in DH Kulgam.

As far as the Covid-19 cases are concerned, 1895 persons tested positive out of 38114 tests done in J&K – 653 from Jammu Division and 1262 from Kashmir Division. With it the total number of Covid infection cases has reached 292360.

Srinagar reported 304 cases, Baramulla 161, Budgam 181, Pulwama 185, Kupwara 141, Anantnag 85, Bandipora 52, Ganderbal 61, Kulgam 66, Shopian 26, Jammu 218, Udhampur 52, Rajouri 64, Doda 73, Kathua 50, Samba 45, Kishtwar 24, Poonch 60, Ramban 39 and Reasi 39.

The total number of recoveries on Tuesday was 3682, 1448 from Jammu division and 2234 from Kashmir division, taking the total number of recoveries to 255145.

The number of active positive cases has shown a downward trend, currently 33276 active cases are in J&K – 21047 in Kashmir and 12229 in Jammu division.

As per the details shared by the health department, 5976 hospital beds have been designated for Covid-19 patients, of which 2084 are occupied by patients admitted in various hospitals across J&K. 1748 Covid patients are on oxygen support and 106 on ventilator support.
