Srinagar, June 29: Six persons died of Covid-19 while 308 persons tested positive for the viral respiratory illness in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
As per the media bulletin, six Covid-19 deaths were reported in J&K, four from Kashmir division and two from Jammu division.
Of the six deaths reported, one died at GMC Doda, one at CHC Mendhar, one at SMHS Srinagar, one at GMC Anantnag, one at DRDO Hospital Srinagar and one at DH Pulwama.
A total of 308 new positive cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in J&K of which 209 were from Kashmir division and 99 were from Jammu division, taking the total number of positive cases to 3,15,298.
Meanwhile, 493 Covid-19 patients recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 344 from Kashmir division and 149 from Jammu division.
Besides this, 84.46 percent of the population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.
The bulletin also informs that no new confirmed case of Mucormycosis was reported on Tuesday, taking the total number of confirmed cases in J&K to 29.
According to the daily media bulletin on Covid-19, of the 3,15,298 positive cases, 4805 are active positive, 3,06,177 have recovered and 4316 have died, 2214 in Kashmir division and 2102 in Jammu division.
The bulletin said that of the 99,07,016 test results, 95,91,718 samples returned negative till today.
