Sakina—the widow of Bashir Ahmed Bhat of Sagipora Sopore—Saturday said those who killed her husband and three-year-old son were 'merciless' as they fired 'indiscriminately' at the duo.
In deep shock, she said the incident reflects that "there are also animals in Kashmir in the shape of humans."
"You can't call a person who fires at a three-year old kid, a human," she said. "My husband never wanted to harm anyone. I don't know why he was killed."
The 35-year-old Bashir—a released militant—would often be quizzed by teams of Special Task Force and Army at his residence, his family members told Greater Kashmir.
"The army and STF people used to come to our residence to question my husband," Sakina said. "Who will bring back my son; who will bring back my husband? I have lost everything. My life is ruined."
