Bandipora’s recovery rate increases to 91%, positivity rate steadies

Bandipora, June 6: The overall Covid-19 recovery rate in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district has crossed 91.50 percent while the positivity rate is steady with 2.20 percent during the past 48 hours and under 3 percent since 3 June.

According to official data, the total patients recovered from Covid in the district has reached 7992 of the total 8734 positive patients since the outbreak of Covid-19.

   

The COVID-19 daily cases witnessed a gradual decline from June 1 with 62 cases being reported in the day followed by 52, 48, 43, and 40 daily cases being reported till June 5 through RTPCR testing. Meanwhile, on Sunday, 40 more cases were traced through RTPCR in the district, taking the active tally of the positive patients to 645, showing a significant decline. Among these only 67 are hospitalised and 578 under home isolation.

With the total recovery rate significantly increased in the district, the total positive Covid patients reported after 15 February also considered as the start of the second wave are 4037 and 3342 have recovered. In the same period, 35 of the deaths have occurred from a total of 97.

Among the 67 hospitalised patients, 22 are on oxygen support in at least three designated Covid facilities in the district.

Of 27 patients, 18 are on oxygen support at level-III at the designated Covid facility at district hospital Bandipora and among 16 patients at CHC Hajin, three are on oxygen support while 21 patients at MCH Pazalpora and one on oxygen support and of the two admitted patients at CHC Dawar none is on oxygen support.

Moreover, there are 27 contaminated zones in which 68 cases are active.
