BHSS Uri organises seminar to celebrate ‘World No Tobacco Day’

Baramulla, May 31: Government BHSS Uri organised a virtual seminar to celebrate the World No Tobacco Day, 2021.

Chief Education officer Baramulla G.M.Lone was Chief guest along with Deputy C.E.O Baramulla Balbir Singh Raina, Principal BHSS Uri Mushtaq Sopore urged for result oriented awareness campaigns/seminars at grass root level for a healthy and tobacco free environment.

   

Other speakers discussed the significance of the day and urged to make significant efforts for Tobacco free environment at Institution level. Some students also spoke on the event and highlighted the ill effects of smoking and other tobacco consuming acts.

Chief Education officer Baramulla G M Lone and Deputy Chief Education officer Baramulla Balbir Singh Raina while speaking urged for a safe, tobacco free environment and urged to raise awareness about not only the dangers of using tobacco but also business practices of tobacco companies due to which millions are getting life consuming diseases every year.They further added that the department in general and teachers in particular have the responsibility to make our institutions tobacco free destinations.
