Pulwama, June 26: Security forces today launched a cordon and search operation in SIDCO industrial area at Lassipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. According to an official, following inputs about militant presence, the army from 44 RR at around 11am cordoned off the industrial area at Lassipora. The forces soon conducted searches in different industrial units.
The security forces were deployed on roads and outside the industrial area. The searches continued for over seven hours. Vehicles were also searched.
“The forces thoroughly searched in our unit. The searches continued till evening,” a unit owner said.
However, the operation was concluded peacefully at around 6:30 pm and no one was arrested.
