COVID claims 12 more lives in J&K

Srinagar, June 13: Jammu and Kashmir reported 12 fatalities attributed to Covid-19 and 774 positive cases in the last 24-hours.

As per the details shared by the health department as many as 12 patients succumbed to Covid-19 infection— seven in Jammu division and five in Kashmir. With this, the total number of Covid deaths in J&K has reached to 4186 including 2149 in Kashmir and 2037 in Jammu division.

   

As per the official figures, 02 persons died in GMC Rajouri, 01 in GMC Jammu, 01 in GMC Kathua, 01 in CHC Surankote, 01 in Chouhan MSC Pathankot, 01 in Home/ Brought Dead, 02 in SMHS Sgr, 01 in DH Ganderbal, 01 in SKIMS Soura & 01 in JLNM Hosp Srinagar. Out of the total positive cases, 229 were reported in Jammu division and 545 in Kashmir division. The total number of infection cases reported in J&K so far has reached to 307412.

Among the fresh cases, Srinagar reported 149, Baramulla 38, Budgam 83, Pulwama 49, Kupwara 64, Anantnag 59, Bandipora 38, Ganderbal 22, Kulgam 35, Shopian 8, Jammu 38, Udhampur 4, Rajouri 36, Doda 55, Kathua 8, Samba 8, Kishtwar 2o, Poonch 30, Ramban 22 and Reasi 8.

However, as per the official data, the number of active cases is coming down rapidly. On Thursday the number of active cases stood at 15081. The number of persons recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24-hours was 1965 including 698 in Jammu division and 1267 in Kashmir. The total number of Covid recoveries in J&K has reached 288145.

As per the media bulletin, no new case of mucormycosis was reported today. It may be mentioned that so far 19 confirmed cases of mucormycosis have been reported in the UT.
