Srinagar, June 12: Renowned Endocrinologist of Kashmir, Dr Muhammad Hayat Bhat has been awarded Diabetes India USV Award 2021 for his contribution in Diabetes care in challenging situation during the Covid pandemic.
DrBhat was awarded by Union Minister, DrJitendra Singh during 11th world Congress of Diabetes India which was attended by 4000 delegates. DrBhat is currently heading the department of Endocrinology at GMC Super specialty hospital in Srinagar.
“The 11th World Congress of Diabetes India is being attended by top doctors who share their ideas, this year the medicos who have done exemplary work during the Covid were felicitated. It is an honour for me that I was also awarded, this gives motivation to do more for the society,” he said.
The 11th World Congress of Diabetes India started on June 11, Union Minister, Jitendra Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. Stalwarts of diabetes have joined hands with the International Associations and Bodies like ADA, EASD and International Hypoglycemia etc. on a virtual platform to discuss the latest happenings in diabetes across the globe.
