Bhadarwah, May 31: In a shocking incident, a man shot dead his two teenage sons aged 18 and 15 years at their home in Gull-Joura village of Doda district before turning the gun on himself reportedly in a “premeditated and planned” murder-suicide, officials said on Monday.
Tehsildar Kahara Subuh Ahmed Shad said, “Today at around 10 PM, one person namely Sunit Singh (36) S/O Chuni Lal, R/O Gallu, Joura, shot himself and his two sons namely Chander Kant (18) and Kamal Kant (15).”
“The reason behind the extreme step taken by Sunit Singh is not immediately known as the village is located in far off inaccessible area about 11km from the motorable road and is extremely difficult to reach there in night hours,” The officer added saying that 12 bore licenced gun was used in the firing incident.
