Kupwara: Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) president Ravinder Raina Wednesday said that “Article 370 will never be restored and those who talk about its restoration were lying to people of Jammu and Kashmir”.
Raina said that people across Jammu and Kashmir “were mature enough and would never fall to cheap tactics being played by few politicians”.
Raina who is on a three day visit to frontier district Kupwara said that soon after the completion of delimitation process, assembly election would be conducted in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that in the Assembly elections, as and when held, BJP would not only “forms a government with a significant majority but Jammu and Kashmir would first time witness BJP's Chief Minister”.
“With the sincere efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kupwara has witnessed development,” Raina said. "The medical college which is being constructed at Handwara, the development of Bangus Valley are the living examples of development in this frontier district," he added.
Raina said that he wanted to have firsthand experience of hardships being faced by people living in Tanghdar, Machil, Chowkibal, Keran, Lolab and other far-off places.
