Poonch: Security forces conducted a search operation in Saujiyan area of Poonch’s Mandi tehsil.
Officials told Greater Kashmir that police and army jointly conducted the search operation in some villages falling under Saujiyan police post of Mandi in Poonch district from Saturday evening to Sunday morning.
“The area remained under siege and forces remained on job from Saturday evening to Sunday morning,” the officials said.
They said that operation was called off on Sunday morning and search parties were called back.
“This was a routine operation. We conducted it and called it off in the morning,” a senior official of police said.
