Line of Control: Security forces put on alert in Rajouri

Rajouri: After a gap of about four months, the line of control which was peaceful after the ceasefire agreement of February 26 is again witnessing an uneasy situation after multiple infiltration attempts in Rajouri district.

The ceasefire agreement was reached upon by DGMOs of India and Pakistan and the agreement was announced on 26 February after which no incident of exchange of fire has been reported from any area.

   

However, two back to back infiltration and militancy related incidents in Rajouri district have changed the situation.

Official sources said that security on the LoC has been strengthened further and a security high alert has been sounded.

“Entire army deployment on the Line of Control is on high alert while hinterland security has also been beefed up,” they further said.
