New Delhi: National Conference (NC) Members of Parliament Monday staged a protest in front of Gandhi Statue in the foreground of the Parliament demanding revocation of 5

August 2019 decisions the way it did away with the farm laws.

A statement of NC issued here said that they also demanded an impartial judicial probe into Hyderpora, Rambagh and Lawaypora encounters.

It said that the NC MPs Muhammad Akbar Lone and Hasnain Masoodi led by the NC President Farooq Abdullah held placards demanding rollback of the decisions of 5 August 2019 like the contentious farm laws, and a time-bound judicial probe into the Hyderpora, Rambagh and Lawaypora encounters.

The NC statement said that the trio later gave a short attention notice under rule 193 in the Lok Sabha to discuss the prevailing situation in J&K.

It said that Masoodi in his individual capacity also gave a calling attention notice for discussion on the Hyderpora encounter.
