Pak repatriates Poonch resident

Poonch: A man hailing from Gagriyan-Saujiyan village of Poonch was on Monday repatriated by Pakistani authorities from Chakkan-da-Bagh crossing point at the Line of Control (LoC).

Repatriation was made three years after he crossed over to the other side of the LoC. He has been identified as Saif Din, son of Ghulam Mohammad, resident of Saujiyan Gagriyan.

   

Officials said that he inadvertently crossed over to the other side of Line of Control around three years ago and was under custody there. Police said, “On Monday morning, a team of Pakistan army handed over the man to a team from this side at Chakkan Da Bagh crossing point in Poonch.”

Further legal formalities were being conducted in this matter, said police.
