Srinagar: Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather Sunday visited Emergency Hospital Qazigund, and PHC Qazigund and took stock of the COVID-19 testing facility on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.
A spokesperson of the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) said that Dr Rather was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer Kulgam and Block Medical Officer Qazigund besides other health officials.
The director visited all the sections of the Emergency Hospital Qazigund and took a review of the health facilities being provided to the patients.
He also took the first-hand appraisal of oxygen facilities being provided to the patients at the emergency hospital.
During the visit, the Director was informed that a 300 LPM oxygen facility was ready and would be inaugurated at the emergency hospital soon.
Dr Rather expressed happiness over the functioning of the hospital and stressed uninterrupted healthcare services to the general public.
He also took a review of the COVID-19 testing facility on the strategic Srinagar-Jammu National Highway near the entry point of Qazigund Tunnel (Zig Tunnel).
Dr Rather directed the CMO Kulgam to increase the testing and ensure that every traveler is tested before they enter Kashmir.
During his visit, he also met a delegation of locals and senior citizens of Qazigund who demanded a CTC scan facility for the hospital.
