Govt may bar entry of 202 unvaccinated employees to civil secretariat

Jammu: As many as 202 government employees in Jammu and Srinagar may not be allowed entry into the civil secretariat if they do not get themselves vaccinated within a week.

Taking strict note of the employees avoiding to get vaccinated, the General Administration Department (GAD) directed the administrative secretaries to ensure vaccination of the left-out 202 employees of the civil secretariat in both Jammu and Srinagar.

If the left-out employees did not get vaccinated within a week’s time positively, these employees may not be allowed to work in the civil secretariat premises at Jammu and Srinagar. Their details should be communicated to the GAD,” the order reads.

An official said that the GAD had issued directions for ensuring vaccination of all the employees working in various departments of the civil secretariat by June 10, 2021.

However, the reports furnished by the various departments about the vaccination of employees has revealed that 202 employees were yet to get vaccinated.

“Vaccination is available in the secretariat. However, some of the employees are not coming forward for vaccination,” an official said.
