Stay on demolition of ex-Deputy CM’s house extended

Jammu: J&K Special Tribunal Jammu on Tuesday extended the stay on demolition of the house belonging to the former chief minister Nirmal Singh till 14 December 2021.

The tribunal extended the stay on demolition of his palatial house at village Ban in Panjgrain of Nagrota tehsil in Jammu district as Jammu Development Authority (JDA) failed to file a reply in the matter.

The law officer of JDA during Tuesday’s proceedings sought further time to file a reply and to produce their standing counsel.

Meanwhile, counsel Muzaffar Ali Shah, who was caveator-in-person, also filed an application seeking his impleadment as party respondent in the appeal preferred by Mamta Singh, wife of Nirmal Singh against the demolition order issued by the JDA.
