Justice Sindhu Sharma visits Court Complex Budgam

Budgam, June 12: Justice Sindhu Sharma, Judge High Court of Union Territory of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, who is also Administrative Judge of District Budgam, today inspected District Court Complex Budgam.

Justice Sindhu during the visit took stock of the functioning of the District Court and other Taluka Courts within the district. Upon arrival at the District Court Complex Budgam, Justice Sindhu was welcomed with Guard of Honour from a squad of Jammu and Kashmir Police.

   

On the occasion, Justice Sindhu inspected the District Court Complex Budgam, where after she held an extensive meeting with the officials of Judiciary, Police and the Local Administration. The Justice was apprised about the administrative functioning of the Courts and also about the legal infrastructural set up in district Budgam by Mohammad Ashraf Malik, Principal District and Sessions Judge Budgam. She also examined the functioning of the cases being taken up via virtual mode and also the mechanism adopted by the judges in reference to the same.

The meeting was also attended by Abdul Bari, Joint Registrar High Court of J&K. Sunil Sangra, ADJ Budgam, DDC Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza, Tahir Saleem SSP Budgam, Fozia Paul Secretary DLSA, Jahangir Bakshi, Sub Judge Budgam and Uzma Amin, MunsiffBudgam. Later, Justice Sindhu also visited the site proposed for the construction of the upcoming New Court Complex Budgam along with Principle and District Sessions Judge Budgam, Mohd Ashraf Malik, Deputy Commissioner Budgam, SSP Budgam, Executive Engineer(R&B) ACR and TehsildarBudgam.

She further said, creating requisite infrastructure in all courts of District Budgam include New Court Buildings equipped with all necessary facilities, residential quarters, parking facilities, good looking approaches. She reiterated that to materialize this, all line departments had to envisage their co-operation, support and assistance.

She directed Pr. District and sessions Judge to take on board the concerned revenue department through Deputy Commissioner Budgam in facilitating the smooth and hassle free acquisition of identified land and also initiate the process of all logistics for construction at Chadoora, Chrar-e-shareef, Beerwah and Magam.
