Baramulla: A man was critically injured while his wife suffered minor injury when a vehicle, they were travelling in, plunged into a gorge in Uri area of Baramulla district on Sunday.
The injured was identified as Tauseef Ahmad Qureshi and his wife as Haseena Begum, residents of Kalgi Uri. In the mishap the vehicle JKO5J 3523 was badly damaged.
The injured were shifted to Government Medical College Baramulla, where from Tauseef was referred to SKIMS Srinagar in a critical condition.
The mishap occurred when Tauseef Ahmad, who was driving the vehicle, and his wife were heading to Uri town from Kalgi.
Thedriver of the vehicle lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a curve. The vehicle rolled down into a gorge.
