Rajouri: At least 10 persons including three children were injured in an accident at Narian village on the Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch National Highway.

Police said that the accident occurred when a vehicle on way from Nowshera to Rajouri near Army camp Narian fell in a deep gorge.

Locals and other passengers travelling on the highway launched a rescue operation and shifted the 10 injured persons to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Nowshera.

“All the injured are being hospitalised in SDH Nowshera,” Police said.

The injured have been identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Bhagat Ram of Nowshera; Vijay Kumar, son of Inder Lal of Rajal Nowshera; Hardev Krishan, son of Tara Chand of Dandesar; Sunita Devi, wife of Vijay Lal of Rajal Kote; Shami Devi, wife of Sanjay Kumar; 14-year-old Prince Sharma son of Sanjay Kumar of Rajal Kote; Neelam Devi, wife of Pashori Lal of Dandesar; five-year-old Ritika Sharma and nine-month-old Rudar Sharma.
