4 teachers terminated for prolonged unauthorised absence from duty

Srinagar: The School Education Department has terminated four teachers from services for prolonged unauthorised absence from their duties in schools.

The termination order has been issued by the Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) pursuant to the decision of the committee in terms of Article 113 and Article 128 of J&K Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956 and Rule 30 (V11) of J&KCCA rules 1956.

   

The teachers include Alka Tak who was posted at Government Middle School Moran Tangwari, Baramulla, Rubeena Kakroo from Baramulla, Waseem Gull who was posted at Government Boys High School Nunner Ganderbal and Ajay Bhat who was posted at Government High School Dalwach Anantnag.

The teachers have been terminated from services for remaining absent from duties for years together.

The order said that the unauthorised absence from duties attracts action as warranted in terms of Article 128 and 113 of J&K Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956.

Article 128 states that absence without leave or after the end of leave involves loss of appointment while Article 113 states that after five years of continuous absence on leave an officer is considered to be out of state employee.
