Srinagar: A Seerat conference was organised on Saturday in the main hall of Islamia Higher Secondary School Rajouri Kadal under the auspices of Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar, in connection with Rabi-ul-Awwal - the month that marks the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

A statement of the Anjuman issued here said that leading religious scholar of J&K, Moulana Rehmatullah Mir Al-Qasmi presided over the conference while Anjuman-e-Shari'a Shian Vice President Agha Syed Mujtaba Al-Mosvi Al-Safvi, head of Anjuman-e-Himaayat-ul-Islam Moulana Khurshid Ahmad Qanungo, President of Anjuman Ulema-e-Ahanaaf Moulana Akhzar Hussain, noted Naat Khwaan and poet Shabir Ahmad Mir, Moulana M S Rehman Shams and General Secretary of Anjuman Auqaf Altaf Ahmed Bhat elaborated on the importance and significance of the biography of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the far-reaching and historic impact of his arrival to this world.

The speakers said that the main reason for the unending problems and crises faced by the Muslims of the world in general and those in J&K in particular was the deviation from the biography and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

A special issue of Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam’s magazine ‘Paighambar-e-Hidaayat No 2021’ was also launched on the occasion.
