Centre created uncertainty when J&K was heading towards better situation: G A Mir

Bandipora: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President, Ghulam Ahmad Mir Sunday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government at the Centre created uncertainty in Kashmir at a time when it was heading towards a better situation.

Presiding over a convention organised by the party cadre in Bandipora district of north Kashmir, Mir said, “The situation in Jammu and Kashmir started deteriorating when the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-BJP coalition came to power in 2014.”

He said that people got confused with a series of unilateral, undemocratic, and unconstitutional decisions.

Mir said that Jammu and Kashmir was split into two union territories only to make the situation worse with no one ready to take responsibility for civilian killings.

He said exposing unknown gunmen was the responsibility of the present dispensation.

Mir said Congress had kept its door open for those striving for secularism and those ready to fight against the BJP.

“But those who are the creation of the BJP and reading the same subject, Congress will have no concurrence or accord with them,” Mir said.
