Srinagar: Director General, Institute of Management Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPARD), Saurabh Bhagat Thursday chaired two online meetings regarding the review of the District Good Governance Index (DGGI).

An official spokesman in a statement issued here said that the first meeting focused on reviewing progress on fidelity check of data sets for publication of DGGI.

Highlighting the purpose of DGGI, Bhagat said that the system was likely to be implemented by January 2022 when all districts and sectors would be given a formal rank.

He said that this would be followed by incentivising the districts high on ranking and corrective action on the poor performers.

Convening the second meeting on documentation and certification of case studies regarding success stories of J&K by the IMPARD in collaboration with Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad, Bhagat reviewed all the four case studies including the Back to Village (B2V) Programme, Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Scheme of Health and Medical Education Department, Empowerment: Setting Benchmarks in Transparency and J&K Bank: A Story of Transformation.
