Kupwara: Director School Education Kashmir, Tassaduq Hussain Wednesday launched an enrollment drive from Government Middle School Handwara where 240 new entrants were enrolled in different classes.

Hussain said that the enrollment drive had been halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic but now it had been started from Handwara.

He expressed hope that this year government schools would witness the highest number of new entrants.

Hussain said that the department would ensure the best possible facilities at government schools so that more and more students attend these schools.

He said that the teachers across Kashmir were very enthusiastic about the enrollment drive and expressed hope that the drive would be a grand success this year.

About the lack of better infrastructure at most government schools, Hussain said that the scenario had altogether changed and now better facilities were available at every government school.

He said that his department would not let down parents who enroll their wards in government schools.

Hussain later went to Government Girls Higher Secondary School Handwara where he interacted with the students.

He felicitated the students of the Kupwara district who had recently qualified for different competitive exams.
