Srinagar: The law department students of Kashmir University (KU) held a protest at Srinagar Press Enclave over varsity decision to hold their semester examination in offline mode.

The exam has been scheduled from December and will culminate in January.

“The law department has scheduled our exam in the biting cold that too in offline mode. The department should either hold the exam through online mode or defer it till February,” a protesting student said.

The students have already submitted several representations to the University authorities and the Law department to seek online examinations as they have attended their classes in online mode.

Registrar KU, Dr Nisar Ahmad Mir when contacted said the students are divided over holding exams in online and offline mode. “While some students are protesting to hold exams through online mode, we also receive representation from other students demanding exams through offline mode and saying their internet does not work continuously,” he said.
