Minister satisfied with justice deliverance in J&K

Srinagar: Union Minister for Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju Saturday expressed his satisfaction over the way justice was being done to the citizens in J&K.

He was speaking at a mega legal awareness and services camp at Pattan. The camp was organised by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Baramulla under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Legal Services Authority (JKLSA) held as per the NALSA module in coordination with the district administration. Rijiju expressed satisfaction on the working of the JKLSA and the authorities at the district and Taluka levels providing free legal aid to the poor and deserving and assisting beneficiaries under various schemes. The minister said that the district judiciary would be strengthened by augmentation of its infrastructure.

High Court judge and Executive Chairman JKLSA, Justice Ali Muhammad Magray said that JKLSA under the aegis of NLSA was committed to ensure the constitutional goal of access to justice for all as per the mandate of the constitution.

He said that free legal aid was provided to the poor and the weaker sections of the society so that they were not prevented from accessing justice on account of their poverty and economic disabilities. Rijiju was the chief guest on the occasion and inaugurated the camp in presence of High Court judge and Executive Chairman JKLSA, Justice Ali Muhammad Magray and High Court judge Justice Vinod Chatterjee Koul.

Speaking on the occasion, Justice Magray said that JKSLA under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority was committed to ensure the constitutional goal of access to justice for all as per the mandate of the constitution.

He said that free legal aid was provided to the poor and the weaker sections of the society so that they are not prevented from accessing justice on account of their poverty and economic disabilities.
