Vigilance awareness week commences in ACB
Srinagar: Vigilance Awareness Week commenced at J&K’s Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), a statement said.
The statement added that Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed from October 26 to November 1 across the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The observance of the week commenced with officers and officials of ACB taking the integrity pledge which was administered by . Anand Jain, IPS at ACB headquarters. The pledge at ACB branches at Jammu and Srinagar were also organized by the respective Branch SSsP.
The Departmental Vigilance Officers (DVOs) also organized the pledge ceremonies in their respective departments,”the statement said. It added that vigilance awareness week is observed every year as a part of the multi pronged approach to encourage stakeholders to collectively participate in the prevention and fight against Corruption. This is observed every year during the week in which the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (October 31) falls.
“To raise awareness on Vigilance, ACB will undertake various programmes like lectures in offline/online mode, webinars and other related activities. Banners and posters will also be displayed across UT for spreading awareness. The DVOs will also organize such programmes in their respective departments,”the statement said.
