Yashwant Sinha led Concerned Citizens’ Group to visit Srinagar

Srinagar: The Concerned Citizens’ Group (CCG) led by Yashwant Sinha is scheduled to visit Srinagar for two days on Tuesday and are likely to meet several political parties and senior leaders, sources said.

Sources told KNS that the group, which includes former Finance and External Affairs minister, Yashwant Sinha, Air Vice Marshall (Retd) Kapil Kak and Sushobha Barve (Executive Secretary of Centre for Dialogue and Reconciliation) will meet different political parties and senior leaders including National Conferences president Farooq Abdullah, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, CPI-(M) leader MY Tarigami and other senior leaders and party heads.

They said that the group, which has been working on Track-II diplomacy will visit the Summer capital of J&K to make smooth way for Track-II diplomacy.

As per sources, the group is likely to meet several cross sections of the society during its two-day stay in Srinagar.

The CCG’s visit to Srinagar holds significance as the development came days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an all-party meeting leaders of different political parties of Jammu and Kashmir on June 24 in New Delhi.
