Ladakh records dip in daily Covid-19 cases

Srinagar, June 8:Ladakh is witnessing a considerable dip in the number of daily Covid-19 cases since last week, prompting the J&K administration to ease the prevailing lockdown restrictions in Leh.

However, In Kargil, the authorities have extended the corona curfew till June 14 morning.

   

As per the official figures, Ladakh has reported less than 100 cases of Covid-19 since the last few days.

The total number of active Covid-19 cases in Ladakh has effectively come down to 1011, 843 cases in Leh and 168 in Kargil district.

With the dip in the number of cases in Ladakh, the Ladakh administration has decided to ease certain restrictions as part of a gradual unlocking process from June 7 to 14 in Leh district.

The relaxations have been announced under fresh guidelines issued by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Chairman Leh, ShrikantSuse.

In Kargil district, Chairman DDMA SantoshSukhadeve has issued an order extending the corona curfew in the district till 7 am on June 14.
