Srinagar, June 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (JK-LAWDA) on Wednesday suspended its four officials for non-reporting of illegal constructions in their respective areas and has ordered an enquiry into the matter.

The enquiry officer has been asked to submit the factual report within a period of 15-days.

According to an Order No. 61-LDA of 2021 dated 09.06.2021, pending enquiry regarding illegal construction coming up in the areas including Saidakadal, Ashaibagh and northern Foreshore Road (LashkariMohalla), LAWDA has ordered suspension of four employees for dereliction of duties who failed to report illegal constructions going on to their higher officials in their respective jurisdictions.
