Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) on Tuesday condemned the "systematic burning of schools" in Kashmir.
"Forces have never respected public property, hospitals or educational institutions. Will India allow destruction of hospitals and burning of educational institutions in Assam, Nagaland, Meghalya, Tripura, Chattisgarh and other disturbed areas?" LeT spokesman, Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi quoted outfit chief Mehmood Shah as saying.
He said, "Such acts are being carried out by forces in Kashmir in a systematic manner. They are aware they cannot stay in Kashmir much longer."
Meanwhile, Shah rejected reports about "martyrdom of 19 LeT fighters in Afghanistan."
Mehmood clarified that "India tries to establish the notion of LeT presence in Afghanistan, also linking it with ISIS. However, the reality is known to the world that LeT is a native Kashmiri group and has no presence anywhere else in the world." KNS
