Srinagar, June 20: Residents of Mirabad lane 3 of Batamaloo locality here have expressed resentment against inordinate delay in macadamization of lanes and bylanes in the area.

A delegation from the area said in absence of macadamization, they face problems. “Despite passing of over four years, our lanes and bylanes have not been macadamized. This is ironical as our area has been totally neglected on developmental front,” said a resident Riyaz Ahmad.

His concerns were echoed by other residents. “Due to potholes, locals face problems to walk. Our vehicles have also been damaged to dilapidated roads,” said Muhammad Amin.

“While roads in our neighboring localities have been macadamized many times in past four years, our area has been left out. We appeal Chief Engineer R&B department to look into the matter,” he said.
