Mobile connectivity still a dream for this Kupwara village

Kupwara, June 9: While there are talks of rolling out 5G services in rest of the country, the residents of Kalaroose Mori village of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district do not still have mobile connectivity.

The village is inhabited by around 200 persons who continue to remain disconnected with rest of the world.

   

“While almost all the schools in Kashmir are delivering online classes due pandemic, our children can’t take online classes due to non-availability of mobile connectivity,” said the Sarpanch of the village.Locals said that at the time of medical emergency people face lot of hardships and can not contact their relatives.

They said that they have to walk several kilometres to reach Nagsari where their mobile phones get the network signal and only then are they able to make and receive calls.

A resident said that when the world was in a virtual mode, they do not have access to the internet.
