The historic Mughal Road was thrown open for one way traffic on Saturday after remaining closed for four months during winter.
"The road has been thrown open for one-way traffic for all types of vehicles," said an official. "Seven vehicles carrying 46 passengers moved from Poonch towards the valley on Saturday."
The road was opened after snow was cleared from both the sides. The 84-km Mughal Road connects Kashmir Valley with the Jammu region as an alternate route from Shopian, Poonch and Rajouri districts through PirPanjal mountains.
