Jammu, June 11: The government today notified an amendment in the Non-Functional (Monetary) Scheme for the members of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service and the general executive cadre Jammu &Kashmir Police (gazette) Service.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Lieutenant Governor makes the amendment in the Non-Functional (Monetary) Scheme (NFS) for the members of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service,” read a notification S.O.197 issued by the GAD.
“The clause (xvii) shall be substituted by the ‘Non-Functional Scheme would be a transitory measure aimed at addressing the stagnation of the JKAS officers at various levels and shall be effective up to June 30, 2023’,” further read the notification.
Similarly, a separate notification (S.O. 198) issued by Home Department, J&K Government, read, “The clause (xvii) shall be substituted by the ‘Non-Functional Scheme would be a transitory measure aimed at addressing the stagnation of the General Executive Cadre of Jammu and Kashmir Police (Gazetted) Service at various levels and shall be effective up to June 30, 2023’.”
