Notice served to Baramulla school for charging annual, allied fee

Baramulla, June 4: The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Baramulla Friday served a notice to the officials of the St Joseph Higher Secondary School Baramulla over charging ‘annual and allied fee’ from this year.

The notice was served after the parents of several children complained that school authorities were charging annual fee, computer and allied charges other than tuition from March this year which was against the government directions issued for educational institutions during the lockdown.

The officials of the institution had been asked to explain their position within two days and warned of action for violating the government directions.

“As per the instructions issued by the government, only minimum tuition fee is to be charged during lockdown period. As per the complaint, the institution is charging annual fee, computer and allied charges from March this year, which is violation of the government set directions during the lockdown,” reads the order issued by CEO Baramulla.
