Srinagar, June 10: Traffic Police has issued advisory for one way traffic on Rambagh, Natipora, Chanapora and Nowgam stretch from June 14 to prevent traffic jams.
“Rambagh Natipora, Chanapora and Nowgam stretch of road causes lot of congestion due to its narrow width and it has been found necessary to follow one-way traffic in this stretch during peak hours. General Public is informed that no vehicle shall be allowed to ply towards Chanapora and Nowgam via Natipora from Rambagh between 09:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m. Only vehicles from Chanapora, Nowgam and Natipora shall move towards city center,” Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic City Srinagar Javid Ahmad Koul said in a statement.
“Similarly, no vehicle coming from Chanapora and Nowgam areas via Natipora shall be allowed to move towards city center between 04:00 p.m to 07.00 p.m. Only vehicles coming from city center shall be allowed to move towards Chanapora and Nowgam via Natipora from Rambagh. Motorists are requested to cooperate and help in traffic management. The traffic plan shall take effect from Monday i,e 14th of June 2021,” the SSP said.
