Peer Saifullah needs medical aid: Geelani

The Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani on Thursday expressed serious concern over “deteriorating” health of the Hurriyat leader Peer Saifullah who is lodged at Police Station Humhama for the past 36 days.

The Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani on Thursday expressed serious concern over "deteriorating" health of the Hurriyat leader Peer Saifullah who is lodged at Police Station Humhama for the past 36 days.

"Peer Saifullah had undergone tumour operation last year and every month he has to visit Apollo Hospital in New Delhi for a check-up. After his condition deteriorated yesterday he was taken to Budgam hospital by police. The doctors there advised him to visit the Apollo hospital immediately," Geelani told Greater Kashmir over phone.

He said the family members of Peer Saifullah are worried about his well-being and  have expressed apprehensions about his falling health.
