Chief of Lashkar-e-Toiba Mehmood Shah on Saturday thanked Kashmir's freedom-loving people for carrying forward the struggle "bravely and courageously."
In a statement, Shah said "Lashkar issues statements only through its spokesperson via newspapers and news agencies and only such statements should be trusted because certain unscrupulous elements and Indian secret agencies are engaged in misleading masses through concocted stories and baseless statements."
"In such a situation, it is important for people to remain cautious," he said.
Hailing the role played by doctors in Kashmir, he said doctors are 'massihas' and "their role in a situation where economic blockade has been imposed by India becomes very important." He warned the "elements harassing doctors" to not harass them and allow them to work freely. "…because the day people start teaching a lesson to these elements in turn, they will not find a place in the Valley," Shah said.
Shah also warned those elements who are "making unsuccessful attempts to make the hartal calls in Kashmir unsuccessful to set themselves right because they are betraying the sacrifices of martyrs while being in the lap of India."
"Martyrs are our crowns. Informers should mend their ways or else people will teach them a lesson and that time is no far away," Shah said. "Recently-issued posters in the name of LeT have nothing to do with LeT. People should follow the Hurriyat programme and continue with shutdowns."
