PM visit: CS reviews arrangements

Chief secretary BVR Subrahmanyam Wednesday reviewed arrangements for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's planned visit to Jammu and Kashmir on February 3.

An official spokesman said during his visit to Kashmir, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of all-India institute of medical sciences and transit accommodation for migrant families.

He will also launch SAUBHAGYA scheme, the spokesman said.

The chief secretary, who reviewed the arrangements in at SKICC here, directed the officials concerned to put in place all arrangements "regarding official line up, reception line up and foolproof security".

He directed the Budgam district administration to make all arrangements for the reception of the Prime Minister at the Srinagar airport.

The CS also impressed upon the traffic department to make proper arrangement for the parking of vehicles.
