Kupwara, June 2: Police on Wednesday started a face-mask distribution drive among the people across north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
The drive was started in the jurisdictions of all police station and police posts across Kupwara police district through SHOs and ICCPs.
The drive was started to bring awareness among the people about the effects of Covid-19 and people were advised to adhere to all SoPs to keep the virus at bay.
Meanwhile, in police district Handwara, the mask-distribution drive was started in Handwara town, Kralgund and Langate where concerned SHOs and other officers distributed the masks among the people.
Police said that the aim of mask-distribution drive was to urge public to combat the virus by playing their role.
