Srinagar, June 11: Police today fined 669 persons for violating COVID mask protocol.
A fine of Rs 2,72,550 was realised for not wearing face masks and violating SOPs across the district.
“Srinagarites have been time and again requested to follow all COVID related SOPs strictly, and cooperate with police and administration in containing the spread of the virus. The drive against the violators will be carried out throughout the district in order to ensure that the people follow the guidelines issued by the government during the pandemic,” police said in a statement.
