Baramulla, June 3: An army soldier was killed after his service riffle accidentally went off at Singhpora in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Sepoy Muneer Ahmad Ganaie (13780067W) of Larkipora Anantnag.
An official said that Ganaie was cleaning his service riffle when it accidentally went off injuring him critically. “He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries,” he said.
The deceased was working with 52 RR at Uplona, Singhpora, Baramulla.
