JKCA to hold fresh trials for U-16 cricketers

Srinagar: As the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued new age rules for the participation in Under-16 Vijay Merchant tournament , J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) has now decided to conduct fresh selection trials for J&K cricketers in Srinagar and Jammu from December 13 to 16.

In a notice issued on Sunday, JKCA has said that BCCI has relaxed age rules for the tournament and the players who were earlier ineligible as per given criteria are now eligible and can participate.

The trials would be held at GGM Science College ground from December 13 to 15. For Kashmir province players trials would be held on December 16 as well.

All eligible players (born between September 1, 2007 – December 1, 2007) have been asked to report for the trials.

Players have been asked to bring in a digitized date of birth certificate and rapid COVID test report with them.
