Srinagar: Mumbai inflicted massive defeat on J&K in the match of Under-19 Cooch Behar trophy tournament at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA VDCA Cricket Stadium, Vizag on Wednesday.
After declaring its first inning on 555 for nine wickets, Mumbai bundled out J&K for 212 runs in the first inning and enforced follow on. In the second inning J&K bundled out for 175 run total, thus suffering an inning and 168 run massive defeat.
Mumbai earned seven points from the match including bonus points.
Earlier, third day's play started with J&K resuming from the overnight score of 110 for the loss of seven wickets. Overnight unbeaten batsman Shivansh Sharma went on to score a brilliant hundred and helped J&K to the total of 212 runs in first innings. He got out after scoring 101 run knock from 168 balls. For Mumbai, Amanullah Manihar took five wicket haul.
After being forced to follow on , J&K batting once again failed in the second inning as the whole team bundled out for 175 run total. Arya Thakur top scored for J&K with 69 while Abid Hussain scored 34. For Mumbai, Musheer Khan took five wicket haul while Amanullah took three.
Earlier Mumbai in its first inning had scored 555 runs for the loss of nine wickets.
Ayaz Khan with 205 runs top scored for them while Muhammad Manzir took five wicket haul for J&K.
