Srinagar: After being forced to follow on, J&K batting failed again as Haryana required just two wickets to register a big win in the match of Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy tournament.
At the end of the third day's play, J&K were 193 for the loss of eight wickets in the second inning, still trailing Haryana's first-inning total by six runs. J&K has got only two wickets left and with a full day of play left.
Earlier, the day's play started with J&K resuming from an overnight score of 111 for the loss of five wickets. The whole J&K inning bundled out for 238 runs, handing Haryana the first inning lead of 199 runs. Shivansh Sharma top-scored with 85 runs, for J&K while Jagjap Singh scored 45. For Haryana, Mayank Shandilya took a seven-wicket haul.
Forced to follow on, J&K batting again failed in the second inning as they reduced to 193 for the loss of eight-wicket at the end of the third days' play. Arya Thakur scored 65 while Abid Hussain scored 45.
Shivansh Sharma got out after scoring 40. Muhammad Manzir is batting on seven while Ranjot Singh is on four. Mayank Shandilya was again a wrecker in chief taking a six-wicket haul for Haryana.
Earlier, Haryana had declared their first inning on 437 for the loss of eight wickets. Parth Vats top-scored with 106 while Ayush Kumar scored 70. Mayank Shandilya scored 67. For J&K, Jasbir Singh, Ranjot Singh and Sarvashish Singh took two wickets each.
