Army-public meet held at Machil

Srinagar: An Army-public meet was organised on Thursday by the local Army formation with civil representatives of the Machil block at Dudi to discuss various issues related to development in the area.

A statement of the Army issued here said that the meeting was attended by the local Block Development Council (BDC) Chairman and all nine sarpanches of the area. It said that discussion was held on a wide range of developmental issues including the state of roads, mobile connectivity, health, education, and initiatives for youth engagement and their employment.

The Army statement said that the discussion also focused on various Sadhbhavana projects undertaken in the area including the Army's initiative to send meritorious children for higher education to other parts of the country.

It said that the Army also assured of all possible medical assistance during the forthcoming winter including efforts to ensure uninterrupted connectivity of the region to Kashmir.
