Srinagar, Dec: Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University), Mullana-Ambala has been accredited with the highest grade A++ by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), a press note said.
It added that Established in 1994, NAAC is an autonomous body of UGC which assesses and accredits Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
NAAC has identified a set of seven criteria covering all the aspects of any HEI to serve as the basis of its assessment procedures. NAAC gives A++ grade to an institution which gets CGPA of 3.51 and more.
The grade has been announced after a NAAC peer team review was conducted during December 13 to 15. This NAAC peer team included seven members from reputed Universities of Assam, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
The press note added that it is worth mentioning that MM(DU) is already seen as one of the leading academic institutions of North India owing to its academic excellence, industry-oriented curriculum and record breaking placement of its students in top business organizations including Tesla, Microsoft, PWC, etc. MM(DU) offers admissions to nearly 129 different Undergraduate, Post graduate and Research programmes in the field of Medical, Para Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Science, Engineering and Technology, Computer Applications, Hotel Management, Law, Agriculture and Business Administration.
