Ramban: Vehicular traffic remained disrupted for several hours at Samaroli between Chenani and Udhampur on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway on Monday.
Sector Officer Traffic Police National Highway Udhampur said that the vehicular traffic remained halted for a few hours after a heavy landslide was triggered near Samaroli on the highway.
He said that the men and machinery of the sub-contractor company engaged by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) was pressed into service to clear the landslide and traffic resumed around 5 pm.
However, after the opening of the road, the highway continued to witness traffic jams at Samaroli.
